London has long been recognised as one of the worlds Gastronomy capitals. The diversity of the population and the growth in British food culture means that London offers a wide variety of food and drink at all price levels. From the traditionally popular food of the UK: the great British breakfast, fish and chips, Sunday lunch, afternoon tea, scotch eggs and curry of course!

London also offers a wide variety of eating experiences including many local markets where World food can be enjoyed. Street markets with their local feel and casual vibe are great places to try an array of cuisines without breaking the bank. There are many to choose from all over London, so wherever you are in the city check them out.

Places such as trendy Broadway Market in East London near the Grand Union canal offers a very local feel. Brixton Village has many small restaurants within a 19th century traditional market building. You can find everything from upmarket dining to good takeaway food here. The historic Greenwich Market has a food market and general market within the same are and is a busy tourist destination at the weekends.

Good food can be found in pubs all over London from traditional fish and chips to Gastro dining experiences. But if you just want to rest your weary feet and have a pint, this is on offer too.

Perhaps as a result in the change in the UK climate, outside eating and drinking has become very popular. Cafe Society has truly come to London with a profusion of coffee shops. Some are part of recognised chains but others are small business blending and serving their own unique blends. So relax in the sun at your next gastro destination.
